The Art of Words- The children have been hard at work reading and summarizing each chapter in our book Old Ben. We will put our summaries together in a booklet next week. In Grammar we have been busy memorizing a long list of prepositions and learning how to incorporate prepositional phrases in writing. Our Bible lessons are focused on Abraham and God’s call on his life. The children will continue to work on Nehemiah 9:5-6 during class for Scripture memory. We have had GREAT Science lessons and are getting ready to read about and study rock types and volcanoes. There will be no new Spelling words next week, but we will review past words.
The Art of Numbers- There will be continued work on the multiplication/division facts, Roman numerals, time, money, and solving equations and word problems. We are practicing these concepts in a variety of ways and the children are progressing nicely! Extra practice at home using flashcards is always beneficial.
Walk-a-Thon- We will load up at 9:15 and head down 5th Street to Ritter Park. Our goal is to walk at least 3 laps (miles). After we walk, we will go to Bob Evans and have breakfast. I will pay for the children’s meals on one ticket and the rest of us can order separately. We should be back at school by 12:30. The children our so excited!!
Grandparents Day- This is always one of the sweetest days of the year! The children may be dismissed with their Grandparents or picked up at 11:30.
Have a wonderful weekend!!!!
