The words “classical education” often get tossed around, falling carelessly into conversations, classrooms and systems. To some it can seem specialized, cultured, or even exclusive. Many times educators douse their lessons with singing, chants and rhymes and feel accomplished as a classical educator. Do we really know what it means? My journey through the classical method started with the splash of classical method and a whole lot of system. But what is classical education really? My understanding came like a flood of peaceful understanding when I finally grasped the method. A scholar I am not and I have much more to continue to learn, but I am hooked, captivated and totally all in to what classical education really is.
Calendar Dates for Next Year
We are currently working on the school calendar for the fall. We have heard from the church that Judgement House will be the week of October 28th – November 1st, so that will be our fall break week.

Covenant School hosted our Open House in Action today, and it was a great success! This was an excellent opportunity to share about our school and about classical Christian education. Thank you to all who helped set up for this event and serve as greeters. Please spread the word about our school with friends and families and remember that open enrollment starts February 1st.

Car or Coffee!
We are excited to announce that we have new options for pick up. The back door is now available to us, but we will also start the option of indoor pick up.
Beginning this Monday, September 24th, we will be offering what we are calling “Car or Coffee” pick-up. If you need to stay in your car, starting on Monday, the pick-up line will be in the back of the school and it will follow normal pick up procedures. However, if you would like to come inside for pick-up, you can park in the front lot and enter through the front doors. We will gather in the Narthex area. We will serve coffee and enjoy a time of talking and meeting with one another. This coffee area will open at 2:15pm, and we will begin calling for pick-up at 2:45pm. There will be a sign-in sheet, and we will call the students in the order that you arrive. All of this starts on Monday, September 24th. Until then we will continue with pick-up as normal. If you are able to come inside, we would encourage you to do so. This will a good opportunity to connect with one another and meet other families at Covenant. And on occasion, we will do something unique and add perks to the indoor pick-up line.
